The Tookany/Tacony-Frankford Watershed Partnership
(TTF) spearheaded the Vernon Park Improvement Eort,in collaboraon with the Philadelphia Water Department,Philadelphia Parks & Recreaon, the PennsylvaniaHorcultural Society, the Chew and Beleld NeighborsClub, the Friends of Vernon Park, and over a dozen otherorganizaons.
Project Goals
• To improve and maintain the exisng garden beds andgeneral landscaping• To install a beauful four-season rain garden that improveswater quality and reduces rainwater runo • To create an educaonal site for residents and local schooland community groups• To increase park use

The mission of the Tookany/Tacony-FrankfordWatershed Partnership (TTF) is to enhance the health
and vitality of the Tookany/Tacony-Frankford Creek andits watershed. We serve as the crucial link connecngresidents, businesses and government as neighbors andstewards of this impaired, but crically important 29square mile watershed in the Philadelphia region. Ourwatershed includes neighborhoods in North, Northeast,and Northwest Philadelphia as well as the communiesof Abington, Cheltenham, Jenkintown, and Rockledge inMontgomery County.As a partner in the Philadelphia Water Department’s

program, TTF iniatesand supports eorts to restore the health of thewatershed and mobilizes its communies as watershedstewards through community outreach, networking,educaonal programming, and projectcoordinaon.
