noworseoffthanallothermen.Otherwise, therewouldbenoroomforhopeandfaithin referencetotherevelationofafuturelife. .Darwindoubtlessdiscovered,asmostother scientificstudentsofhumanpsychologyhave, thatthereisnoevidenceinmanhimselfof man'simmortality.Ratherthereverse.But itdoesnotfollow,inanydegree,thatheshould bewithoutfaithorhopeinafuturelife.Itis justherewheretheChristianrevelationmeets ourneed.Haditbeenpossibleforman,by scientificresearch,toobtainany

Paulabsolutelyignoresit,andwhatmorecould Darwin,oreventhemostextremematerialist, wishaChristianteachertodo?Paul,thus, longago,anticipatedtheprecise'positionnow occupied
