Description

Title: "Binge eating, weight gain, reduced activity/exercise levels: after effects of antibiotics and other medication"

This research report details highly-abnormal feeding behaviour in quite a large proportion of rats given antibiotics and some other drugs. Almost certainly, the GI systems of these rats are being overrun by harmful bacteria or yeasts.

These “bad” bacteria and yeasts in the gut release a lot of chemical by-products – mostly unstudied – that can and do affect behaviour, often in quite bizarre ways.
Also, "good" bacteria in the gut produce essential nutrients such as vitamins B1, B2, B3, B5, Biotin, Vitamin K, and in particular Vitamin B12. Without adequate good gut bacteria you end up effectively with a "Starving Brain" that is likely exit "abnormal" behaviour.

You can get a good idea of how "bad" yeasts and bacteria overrunning the gut makes people ill from one of the original books on the subject:
“The Yeast Connection by William G. Crook, M.D.”

Note this in his book you will find that Dr Crook focuses on exactly the same types of drugs that have affected these rats.

This highly-recommended book deals with illnesses caused by bacteria and yeasts overrunning the digestive system, and how to cure them::
"Gut and Psychology Syndrome By Dr Natasha Campbell McBride"
