Re. your comment to Mr. Landry: It is extremely difficult to get assistance from Senators and Congresspersons, except with specific incidents where a "brush fire" needs to be extinguished. Such assistance, while helpful, does little when you have a continuing issue with OWCP. I have been in nearly constant contact with my Senator's office for over a year because one fire after another needs to be dealt with. Given the numbers of RPCVs who are having continuous, significant issues with Peace Corps' Office of Medical Services and/or OWCP, it is clear that a real solution has to be systemic. Realizing such a solution is difficult. If you are interested, I invite you to view the letter to Senator Gregg in my Scribd documents. Thanks for listening.

You comment on have I tried to get any legislate to help .Yes I have in 14 + years I have gone to every one including the President. I am told no one tells the DOL/OWCO how to run their shop; all my appeals to the DOL?OWCP are return with comment “you are not presenting a lea gel argument , you have to use ECAB files to defend you argument .I am not a Postal worker with a union and lawyers insuring I get a fare judgment. I am living in TX it has been in the low 30ies I can afford heat I do hope you are warm. I have suffered a life altering injury in the service of my country why do I live in pain and poverty why do volunteers have to suffer for service to their country Roger Landry ;8565 sugar pine place ;Tomball,TX 77375 ;281-257-0638

Mr. Landry, I would advise writing your Congressman and asking for help. There are allot of ways the government can help resolve your problem.

Dear Sir I had been a Peace Corps Volunteer in 1995 and was injured in my serves to my country. I am now living in poverty with out any help at all from Peace Corps. My efforts to deal with the Department of labor have been 14 years long. I am doing my best to stop the Peace Corps from use people like me, when damaged tossed out like the trash. We are people with lives that had to be giving up to a life altering injury. My efforts to get political aid have not got any noticed.
