Review/Ballet; Canadians Embrace Dance of This Century
By ANNA KISSELGOFF

Published: May 21, 1993

That Les Grands Ballets has always been a classical company with a huge eclectic repertory (including many ballets by George Balanchine) is sometimes forgotten. In the early 1970's the company had virtually too much of a good thing in "TOMMY," the first ballet version (by Fernand Nault) of the rock opera by the Who, which sold out at City Center and everywhere else.
