3Rural Municipality of Laird No. 404 - Zoning Bylaw
This Bylaw shall be known as the "Zoning Bylaw of the Rural Municipality of Laird No. 404."
All development within the limits of the Municipality shall be in conformity with the provisions ofthis Bylaw.
If any part of this Bylaw, including anything shown on the Zoning District Map, is declared tobe invalid for any reason, by an authority of competent jurisdiction, the validity of the Bylaw asa whole, or any other part, Section or provision of this Bylaw will not be affected.
The Administrator of the Rural Municipality of Laird shall be the Development Officerresponsible for the administration of this Bylaw and in their absence by such otheremployee of the Municipality as the Council designates from time to time. TheAdministrator may appoint a Development Officer subject to the approval of Council towhom duties in the administration of the Zoning Bylaw
may be delegated
The Development Officer shall:a. Receive, record, and review development permit applications and issue decisions inconsultation with Council, particularly those decisions involving subdivision,discretionary uses, development permit conditions, and development and servicingagreements;b. Maintain, for inspection by the public during office hours, a copy of this Bylaw,zoning maps and amendments, and ensure that copies are available to the public ata reasonable cost;c. Insure accessibility of Bylaws and amendments on the Municipal website;d. Make available, for public inspection during office hours, a register of alldevelopment permits and subdivision applications and decisions;e. Collect application and development fees, according to the fee scheduleestablished in this Bylaw;f. Perform other duties as determined by Council.
The Development Officer shall be empowered to make a decision, in consultation withCouncil, regarding a development permit application for a "permitted use".
