Introduction

Life after school (secondary school) can range from beingdownright boring to exciting. What makes the difference?I believe the answer lies in you preparing for life afterschool. Secondly, there is need to face up to the challengesof life after school. Thirdly, it is important to engageoneself in useful activities when you complete school.

1. Prepare for Life after School

Preparing for life after school entails that you should beaware that one day you will no longer be in school. You mayleave school after junior secondary school due to gettinginsufficient marks to proceed to grade ten. Aftercompleting grade twelve you will definitely leave schoolwhether you get good grades or not.You should also be clear of where you will be staying after you leave school. If you are a boarder and during holidays, you have been staying with a guardian or parents, you maychange towns. Preparing yourself psychologically as towhere you will be staying helps you to make the settlingprocess in a new place easier. If possible, visit the place anumber of times before you leave school.
