God is in Control of our Destiny As I sat riding on the bus to NY to see the Brooklyn Tabernacle church, I saw an eagle soaring high above my head. I watched the wings fully extended and spread out as the majestic king of the skies. I even saw the details on the bird as the pinions were spread to guide him through the wind drafts but as the winds blows he dictated which way he was going to go. He was in control of his destiny.

6|Page

Then I looked from the ground view and saw trees of all sizes; all types all growing together, looking all different but yet the same, sort of like us. God did not intend for us to be living with divisions or being divided as a people. Looking at the Scripture in Acts 14:1-5. Act 14:1 And it came to pass in Iconium, that they went both together into the synagogue of the Jews, and so spake, that a great multitude both of the Jews and also of the Greeks believed.

7|Page

Act 14:2 But the unbelieving Jews stirred up the Gentiles, and made their minds evil affected against the brethren. Act 14:3 Long time therefore abode they speaking boldly in the Lord, which gave testimony unto the word of his grace, and granted signs and wonders to be done by their hands. Act 14:4 But the multitude of the city was divided: and part held with the Jews, and part with the apostles.

8|Page

Act 14:5 And when there was an assault made both of the Gentiles, and also of the Jews with their rulers, to use them despitefully, and to stone them. These scriptures speak of the division that happened to the believers and of how the believers received the word and how the enemy used the unbelieving Jews to cause the division. There are all kinds of examples in the that speaks of division and what it can do or cause to happen.

We see with this division it bought about a change in the perspective of the people saved and the unsaved, and it opened the doors for other spirits to be made manifest. It caused unrest between the people, it cause the spirit of murder, the spirit of Jezebel, the spirit of dissention, and a host of other spirits to come about. As you can see, the enemy sowed many seeds to cause division.

The Gifts of the Spirit The powers that be wanted to squash the revival and the dissention and go back into status quo. Looking at the example of the trees growing together in a forest, they were all different kind of trees living and cohabitating in the same place. Each tree was growing and getting their water, food, and sunlight. The bigger more stately trees representing the growth of the leaders, these ones strive for the sunlight with the sunlight representing

Jesus Christ. They grew strong because of the drive to know Jesus Christ more intimately. Then I looked to the other trees in all stages of growth reminding me that God meets us where we are. It is our choice to takes up the mantles, callings, or assignments in our lives. We are all born with a purpose It is one of the best phenomenon of our time; this is the gifts of the Spirit. This phenomenon transcends wealth, it transcends the color barrier, and it even transcends the elemental needs of us in

the human race! From a church in the hills of Tennessee to the Mormon Tabernacle in New York city, to a small hut church in Africa, to churches across the world, the charismatic gifts emboldens the Body of Christ with love, the pursuit of happiness and above all the worship of our God in spirit and truth. The gifts have met with tremendous responses by millions of people throughout the entire earth and God freely gives it to us!

13 | P a g e

Charisma is a Greek word, which means gift that, is not natural, carnal, or soulical. An extraordinary ability is bestowed upon a human being by the infinite strength and power of the Third person of the Trinity, who is called the Holy Ghost. This gift is bestowed as a special service to the Body of Christ, according to Lester Sumrall this gift is called, a sign gift that are supernatural endowments that God places within our lives which help us with the fight against the adversary in these last days.

14 | P a g e

It is imperative that we have the gifts of the Spirit, we being tested, tried, and qualified as we move strategically on the battlefield of our destiny. Jesus Christ says in Matt 16:18, And I say also unto thee, that thou art Peter, and upon this rock, I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it. This is necessary; we must practice the using of our instruments in the contest of good and evil.

15 | P a g e

We must understand and know what are weapons of warfare are; according to 2 Corinthians 10:4 it tells us, For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds so that we must wield these weapons wisely as the Lord wills. Meaning that this battle must be fought as the Lord wills it.

Grow in Your Relationship with God We discussed last week what is the proper way to pray and the answer is anyway position you want to pray, is fine what matters most is your heart. God knows the condition of your heart when you pray this is your communication tool or one of the steps to building a closer relationship with the Father. I believe that prayer is the number 1 most efficient tool or weapon in our arsenal to defeat the enemy.

17 | P a g e

It has a three-fold purpose for it use, we use prayer as our communication in learning: 1.) What the will of God is and the building of a personal relationship. 1.) weapon, which the Holy Ghost uses for intercessions and strategically placing arsenal ( gifts) to aid in the destruction of the Kingdom of the enemy. 2.) Watch and pray as we bear the burden of our comrades in arms,

praying feverently and with supplications. God gives us the tools in Ephesians 6:1020, which reads: Eph 6:10 Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might. Eph 6:11 Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. Eph 6:12 for we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against

principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against wickedness in high places. Eph 6:13 Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. Eph 6:14 Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness; Eph 6:15 And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace;

Eph 6:16 Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked. Eph 6:17 and take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God: Eph 6:18 Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints; Eph 6:19 And for me, that utterance may be given unto me, that I may

open my mouth boldly, to make known the mystery of the gospel, Eph 6:20 For which I am an ambassador in bonds: that therein I may speak boldly, as I ought to speak. These scriptures speak about getting us battle ready individually.

Battle Units Each one of us makes up the sum total of the battle units. We converge on the enemy strategically as directed by our commander Jesus Christ. In our quest for victory, God has given us the tools to ensure it. However, I stress but we have to practice the art of warfare in order to become proficient with the weapons that we been given to use. The gifts of the spirit are not tender little gifts. They are dynamic, dangerous, and warlike. These are special weapons,
23 | P a g e

which must be handled with dexterity. The word dexterity means 1. Physical, especially manual, skill or nimbleness 2. Mental skill or adroitness: cleverness The weapons at our disposal should be handled with both skill and precision; it should be viewed as an extension of you. In other words you must become one with your gifting. We must have a passion for our gifting as this gifting is not for you but for the advancement and betterment of the body of Christ. We all

should be fans, which mean we should get excited about Jesus Christ. We should never underestimate the weapons that God has given us to fight and win our battles; we must study them deeply and continuously until they function through us. Some people may not or will not understand and say it does not take all that, some people will even look at like you are crazy or a fanatic. That is not a bad word if you are a fan of Jesus

25 | P a g e

Christ and are looking forward to his coming. In Hosea 4:6 Hos 4:6 My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge: because thou hast rejected knowledge, I will also reject thee, that thou shalt be no priest to me: seeing thou hast forgotten the law of thy God, I will also forget thy children. 1. First we should thank the Lord for the knowledge 2. Second we have to avail ourselves to the weapons

26 | P a g e

3. Thirdly, we have to learn how to use the weapons We have to learn how to use the weapons and use them in the will of God. In some in the body of Christ, there are those who misuse the gifts and this will cause them to cease their functioning.

27 | P a g e

Church as the weapons of our warfare. However, the Church today is going into battle without a true knowledge of those weapons. Anytime you go to battle without your weapons properly functioning, you cannot expect to win the fight. How do we win the fight? Can you repeat after me,"I dare to be different because I am a son or daughter of the most High!" The bite from this snake can cause death almost instantly. He said that we were to strike the enemy like a snake. The
