Zentangle Trefoils
You can use this as an extra station at an event or even as a small event itself. Each girl will create their own unique Zentangle Trefoil artistic trading card.
1 sign explaining what to do1 sheet showing patternsAt least 1 completed treoil1 card / girlPencils / erasers; fine line markers / ball point pensYou will need to complete the pattern sheet showing some ideas o what to placein the sections beore the event.Additionally, you need at least one completed treoil artistic trading card so the girlsknow what they are trying to achieve.
Each treoil artistic trading card is the same when the girls begin. It will become unique as youzentangle. The card itsel is a reflection o Girl Scouts. On the outside, we’re all Girl Scouts. The parts inside — our knowledge, experience and environment make us each unique just likethe final cards will be.For the cards, they should end up being 2.5” x 3.5”. There are nine cards on a sheet. You’ll needto trim each side o the sheet (leaving 7.5”) and the top and bottom (leaving 10.5”). Then, cutthe cards apart. The girls will divide their treoil into at least three sections. Recommend using a pencil i thegirls eel more comortable. They can then go back over their card with a marker / pen tocomplete it. Erasers will allow the girls to remove stray pencil marks when they’re done puttingpermanent ink on the card. Some girls will be more comortable creating the final design with the marker / pen. Since theyare doodling in each section, there is no right or wrong way to do this.A diferent pattern will be placed in each section. When all sections are filled, the treoilis complete.NOTE: The last two pages o the PDF show samples I created to see how to use the printablesheets. One shows five completed treoils o the sheet you’ll cut apart or ATCs. The second, ideas or showing sample zentangles to get the girls started.
