Description

The Youth Earth Plan is a plan to shift culture towards sustainability. It provides a review of respected global outlooks for resources, environment, social conditions and security. It then plainly describes the problem that half the world lives in poverty, but physical environmental constraints will prevent the world's full population from ever achieving lifestyles like the 1 billion wealthiest live today (2007). This inequality and unsustainability is unjust and increases the potential for violence, especially for future generations. To address this global conundrum, the Youth Earth Plan 0.5 recommends changes that can be made in each culture-shaping institution of our society: governments, corporations, education institutions, spiritual/religious groups, media groups, international institutions, scientific institutions, and civil society organizations.
