Objectives and Study Design
This research was conducted for Text 100, on behalf of their client Lenovo.
Lenovo and Text 100 have commissioned this study in order explore studentattitudes and interests regarding science/STEM-related careers in support of anew worldwide initiative run by YouTube and Lenovo –Space Lab -(incooperation with several space agencies –including NASA), that was launchedthis October. The roram is desined to challene 1-18 ear-old students todesign a science experiment that can be performed in space.
The two winning experiments will be conducted aboard the International SpaceStation (ISS) and streamed live on YouTube next year.
The study was conducted via Redshift’s online panel, in seven countries (UK, US,Japan, Russia, India, Mexico and Canada). The study was conducted amongstudents between the ages of 14 and 22 years of age. Sample sizes were: 800 inthe U.S., U.K. and Canada, and 600 in Japan, Russia, Mexico and India.
