Dr. Pranav Pandya
Gurudev prophesied in the January 1979issue of Akhand Jyoti that by the year 2025there will be a global upliftment andtransformation of the divisive, ego-boundhuman consciousness into theSuperconscious realm of Unity, Love, Lightand blissful Life; i.e. emergence of golden Eraof Righteousness or descent of PragyaAwatar in human hearts. He had declaredthat the movements of Yug Nirman Yojanaand Gayatri Mission initiated by him wouldplay a crucial role in this transformativeprocess. In 1979 he founded a unique laboratory forsynthesis of science and spirituality –Brahmavarchas Shodh Sansthan. Aroundthat period he also initiated a well-planned,vigorous and revolutionary campaign forestablishment of a network of countrywidePragyapeeths / Pragyamandals byundertaking extensive tours around thecountry. In addition, he conducted intensivetraining retreats and sadhana camps forpreparing thousands of volunteers andsadhaks to take charge of the multifariousand widespread activities of the Missionduring 1979-1981.Through his propheticvision he could clearly visualize thecatastrophic trials and tribulations that willoverwhelm humanity during the four-decade long era-change period of 1980-2020/25 and published, as forewarnings, two very special issues of Akhand Jyoti –Pragya Awatar in August 1979 and YugSandhi in March 1980.Thus, this three-yearperiod from January 1979 to December 1981was of momentous significance in Gurudev’slife and work. We are, therefore, celebratingthe Silver Jubilee of this Herculean effort ofGurudev during 2005-2007.I was on a three weeks tour of USA, Canadaand UK in July/August2005. During thisperiod, the Mission organized two youthconferences in USA in which thousands ofyoung men and women of Indian originliving and working in USA and Canadaactively participated. In addition, a three-day World Dharma Summit was alsoorganized by the joint efforts of HinduUniversity of America (Florida), AryaGurukulam’s Swami Dayanand Saraswatiand Professor Ved Chaudhari at RutgerUniversity, New Jersey. About 500 eminentpersons of Indian origin - leading religious
