GAP / PATTERN RUNS

GAP RESPONSIBILITY RUN INCORPORATING A POSSIBLE VERTICAL DOUBLE TEAM WITHIN THE SCHEME. UTILIZES A PULLING LINEMAN TO THE PLAY SIDE OF THE RUN WHO IS RESPONSIBLE FOR A SECOND LEVEL DEFENDER. ONCE GAPS BECOME THREATENED IMMEDIATELY WE WILL EMPLOY OUR PATTERN SCHEME. THIS PATTERN SCHEME WILL ALLOW US TO BLOCK OUR ASSIGNED GAPS. WE WILL ALSO BE ABLE TO HANDLE ANY TYPE OF PENETRATING MOVEMENT BY FIRST OR SECOND LEVEL DEFENDERS. THE BACK WILL PRESS THE VERTICAL DOUBLE TEAM BY USING THE POST MAN OF THE VERTICAL DOUBLE TEAM AS HIS INITIAL LANDMARK. THE BACK RUNS HIS COURSE THRU THE TOP OF THE (V) OF THE VERTICAL DOUBLE TEAM. CORE RUNS 34/35 POWER 34/35 PUNCH 32/33 TANK

ZONE RUNS GENERAL ZONE PRINCIPLES RUN GAME SCHEME WHICH CREATES VERTICAL LANES BY HORIZONTALLY STRETCHING THE DEFENSE. UTILIZES ZONE COMBINATIONS (MATE BLOCKING) IN A COVERED / UNCOVERED ZONE BLOCKING PRINCIPLE. WE WILL SEPARATE THE DEFENSE BETWEEN THE PLAY SIDE AND THE BACKSIDE . WE DO THIS WITH A TRUE ZONE CONCEPT, AN EXCHANGE CONCEPT, AND WE ALSO HAVE THE CAPABILITY OF MAN POSSIBILITIES ON THE BACKSIDE. THIS CREATES THE VERTICAL RUNNING LANES. THE BACK HAS A PROGRESSION OF READS WHICH TELL HIM WHERE THE VERTICAL CUT WILL OCCUR. HE IS RESPONSIBLE TO MOVE THE SECOND LEVEL OF THE DEFENSE BY EXECUTING PROPER RUN GAME FOOTWORK AND BODY DEMEANOR.

MAN RUNS THIS RUN GAME SCHEME REQUIRES EACH OF OUR BLOCKERS TO ACCOUNT FOR A SPECIFIC MAN. IT ALSO UTILIZES A VERTICAL DOUBLE TEAM (S) CONCEPT (S) WHICH ALLOWS US TO GENERATE MOVEMENT AT THE POINT OF ATTACK. THE BACK WILL PRESS THE VERTICAL DOUBLE AT THE POINT OF ATTACK. HE WILL ALSO READ THE DESIGNATED LINEBACKER FOR POSSIBLE VERTICAL BANG, VERTICAL BEND, OR VERTICAL BOUNCE CUT. 2 BACK CORE RUNS 42/43 BLAST 42/43 BRUSH 44/45 DUO 1 BACK CORE RUNS 40/41 PAINT

MAN / ZONE RUNS

THESE RUNS ARE A COMBINATION OF TWO OF OUR CORE RUN GAME CONCEPTS. WE HAVE THE ABILITY TO EITHER MAN THE PLAY SIDE AND ZONE THE BACK SIDE OR ZONE THE PLAY SIDE AND MAN THE BACK SIDE. THIS ALLOWS US TO GAIN AN ADVANTAGE VERSUS THE DEFENSE BY UTILIZING EITHER A DOWN BLOCK / PULL TECHNIQUE (TRUCK CONCEPT) OR A TRUE VERTICAL DOUBLE TEAM CONCEPT WITH WITHIN ZONE BLOCKING RULES. WE CAN LEVERAGE AND SEPARATE THE DEFENSE BY USING THE DOWN BLOCK / PULL TECHNIQUE (TRUCK CONCEPT). WE WILL AGAIN SEPARATE AND STRETCH A DEFENSE HORIZONTALLY TO CREATE VERTICAL LANES WITHIN A ZONE / VERTICAL DOUBLE TEAM CONCEPT. (BOB CONCEPT) THE BACKS LANDMARK WILL COINCIDE WITH THE CORRESPONDING RUN GAME CONCEPTS. 2 BACK CORE RUNS 26/27 TRUCK 26/27 BOB 24/25 BOB 1 BACK CORE RUNS 16/17 TRUCK
