Gta Jayanti International Networkers Our Mission

All Hindus have full faith in the universal teachings of Mother Gta. It is the mission of the Gta Jayanti devotees to propagate the mass singing of the Gta as an annual global spiritual event that unites all Hindus, and indeed all humanity, in devotion to The Supreme.

Our Vision
Every Gta beilever must own a copy of the rmad Bhagavad Gta and recite from it every day. We firmly believe that when the scientific wisdom of the Gta becomes common knowledge to the people of the world, very quickly, all quarrels, fights, wars and global disasters will come to an end. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Notes:
* 'Gta Jayanti' is the anniversary of the Ekda day when the Bhagavad Gita was first recited by Sajaya to Dhtarra. This was 11 days after Lord Ka had privately spoken it to His intimate devotee Arjuna on the battlefield of Kuruketra, at Jyotisha Tirtha, Kurukshetra District, Haryana State, India, 51 centuries ago. * 'Ekda' occurs twice every lunar month. It is the Eleventh Day of the waxing moon and the Eleventh Day of the waning moon (eka=1, das=10). Lord Viu created the Goddess Ekda to control Ppa-purua (Sin personified). "Whoever does not eat grains on Ekda is freed from all sins and never enters into hellish regions." - Padma Pura, Chapter 14, Kriya-sgara-sra * Mokshad Ekda is the 11th day of the waxing moon in the lunar month of Mrgasrsa (usually Nov/Dec) of the Pcgam (Vedic Calendar) whereas Vaikuha Ekda or Guruvyur Ekda appears in the Tamil Calendar on the 11th day of the waning moon which occurs in the Vedic solar month of Dhanus (Sagittarius, or Mrgazhi in Tamil). In some years, the dates for both events will coincide, but in other years, they will fall exactly one lunar month apart.
