Description

Generally speaking, knowledge is the invisible power passed down from generation to generation throughout human history. It grows slowly, gradually but eternally to become what is often proverbially called “wisdom”. Maybe this is the gist of the new “knowledge based economies”? Putting this opinion in a reverse order means that science and technology should not be considered as the only source of knowledge. Practice and life experience, be it in personal or social form, are yet another no less important source of knowledge and wisdom – a point particularly important for professionals like historians and translators.
