To Whom it May Concern: I am requesting a hearing with the School Board to discuss my current working conditions. My performance and commitment to education is not reflected in the decisions that have been made concerning my work assignment or career. I am an educational leader who has dedicated 4 years to children in Edenton Chowan School System and I desire to continue to utilize my knowledge, skills and abilities to ensure the students are successful. The situation I have been put in is not fair to the students, Mrs. Turner or me. It is my desire to resolve this issue at this level and move forward. The School Board did not approve the transfer for Career Development Coordinator after the July 8, 2009 hearing. The Director of Student Advancement and Career Development was approved yet the responsibilities of the Career Development Coordinator has been assigned to me. Again, I am uncertified in the area of Career Development Coordinator and I do not desire to seek certification in this area. . In addition, I am overqualified. Currently, there is a valid director's position (Director of Secondary Education) available and I am requesting to be appointed that position. The Director of Secondary Education position is aligned with my current credentials. I have not received a hearing date from the August 27, 2009 request for a hearing with the School Board. Educationally, yours
