Engineers play a vital role in national and community development.

Professionalism among engineers is essential to ensure the safety and welfare of the community, property and the environment. An engineer must have an open attitude ('transparent') in carrying out his duties. For example, if an engineer involved in the tender procurement of a product as a technical member, he should understand the tender documents and specifications for procurement of the equipment involved.
