Stuart looked at the monitor on the console. “The coast looks to be clear.”
“Why wouldn’t it be?” Elle asked, confused. “It’s Christmas. There’d be maybe one or two soldiersmaximum on duty today.”
“Christmas?” Stuart repeated blankly.
“Maybe it isn’t on whatever planet you’re from,” Tristan cut in, with biting dignity, “but on ours,yes, it’s Christmas.” Elle shot him a reproachful look.
