 ____________________________________________________________________________ 1.First, open the web browser of your choice; preferably Firefox, otherwise Internet Explorer, Safarior Chrome.2.Upon sitting down for a transcription, a link will be
shared
with you as a Google document. Thismeans if you do not have an account in Gmail you will have to create one.3.Please take the time now to make one if you do not have a Google email account. Click on this link and follow the instructions -http://mail.google.com/mail/signup 4.Next, open your Gmail. If you did not have a Gmail account before please sign into our LegacyProject form again and enter your info so we have the correct information.5.The link shared with you will be for a Google Document. Google Docs are text Internet documentsthat allow many people to work on and view one document all at the same time.6.When you have completed creating an account please click the link to the Google Document, whichwill look like the underlined ³2010-10-18 - Walker - Mit Romney´ above.
 
 
7.In this Google Document you will find a Two Sections:a.Section 1 - Event Brief  b.Section 2 - Transcript8.This is the Format the DPW uses to track all candidates across the state.9.For today your main focus will be on the transcript section, yet if you find any information that can be entered into the event briefing please fill it out accordingly.10.Toward the bottom of the Google document you will see the

heading.11.Please click on the first footage link.12.This will bring you to a separate Internet website.13.If the video is on YouTube, you can start watching and transcribing immediately.14.If the box.netdownload page comes up click the download button to start the download of your video or audio information.15.After clicking on the Footage link you will have to wait for it to download. Some files can be verylarge. Please allow some prep time to get the file onto your computer.
