The honorable The honorable Distinguished guests and participants of EPA My dear friends, the members of EC of the state polytechnic of Lampung Ladies and gentlemen First of all, Id like to extend my sincerest gratitude to God the Al mighty for his blessing that all of us can be here on a special occasion namely English Proficiency Awards 2011. Second of all, as the head of the project, Id like to thank to all of you for attending this opening ceremony and I feel so honor to welcome you to our green campus, the state polytechnic of Lampung. As the head of the project, Id like to report some matters related to this event. EPA 2011 is the annual program held by EC of polinela and also as a part of Polinelas dies natalis celebration. EPA is meant to accommodate the interest of students and common people who want to improve their English. Meanwhile Polinela English Club itself, is a media for Polinela students who have great interest in English. Therefore, EC always tries to organize many activities related to English skill improvements such as this EPA as you can see from the theme we have chosen namely Ladies and gentlemen, This year, EPA consists of 3 competitions that would test English proficiency of all participants who come from different backgrounds including students and common people who concern about English. The first is Speech contest. It is joined by students from Lampung province. The second is The National Scrabble competition. It is followed by participants from some cities in Indonesia. The third is the debating championship which is followed by .teams from some schools in Lampung province. EC as the committee has provided some interesting presents for the winners. They include trophy, certificate and cash money, therefore Id like to thank to all the sponsors who have given their contribution such as Muamalat Bank, ..,, and Hopefully, their contribution would be meaningful for the improvement of English competence of the people in Lampung and Indonesia throughout this event. Ladies and gentlemen

In this occasion, I also want to express my appreciation to all the committees, lecturers and also institution for the hard work, cooperation, contribution, sacrifices, advices, funds and facilities. Hopefully our hard work will be paid by the success of this event. Ladies and gentlemen Finally, Id like to thank to all participants who have came from all over Lampung province and outside Lampung province and joined this event. Hopefully, you enjoy your time in our campus and have a great competition. However, I believe that there are still some weaknesses at this event. Therefore, on behalf of the committee I want to apologize for the inconvenience things you might find later during this event. We are ready for advices so that we can improve it in the next event.
