Goal: Elect qualified, openly LGBT people to public office as well as other Democratic Partycandidates who support LGBT equality.In 2000, as President of the UC San Diego College Democrats, Political Director to the Iron Workers,Local 229 and in cooperation with the San Diego Central Labor Council, I spent a year on campus, inneighborhoods knocking on doors and in the community registering voters and advocating for nowSenator Christine Kehoe’s then successful campaign for State Assembly. With my advice, Local 229and the District Council of Ironworkers contributed significant financial support and dedicatedthousands of volunteer hours to ensure Kehoe’s election to the California State Legislature.In 2004, 2006, 2008 and 2010, I volunteered on various Democratic Assembly, Senate and statewidecampaigns supporting LGBT candidates and LGBT supporters including: John Laird, Dave Jones,Hanna-Beth Jackson, Richard Pan, Joan Buchannan and Phil Angelides.3.Are you a member of the Sacramento Stonewall Democratic Club?
