2011-12 UW Men’s Basketball Husky Notes
Last Time Out Vs. Seattle U
Matthew Bryan-Amaning scored 24 points and had 13 rebounds.Isaiah Thomas added 20 points and four assists, Aziz N’Diaye had acareer-best 15 points with 10 rebounds and the Dawgs reboundedfrom a loss at Arizona by pounding Seattle University and formerUW assistant Cameron Dollar, 95-74. The Huskies wore down thesmaller Redhawks by pounding the ball inside to Bryan-Amaningand N’Diaye. Like MBA, the sophomore junior-college transfer blos-somed in all the free space inside. He slammed home rebounds. He ran the floor like a guard. He also had three blocks in his bestall-around game as a Husky. The Huskies weren’t just dominantinside on offense. They outrebounded Seattle 49-28. They had nineblocked shots - two short of their season high - and held Seattle(10-17) to 32 percent shooting in the first half, when they essen-tially ended the game by taking four different leads of 11 points.
UW’s Last Game - vs. Utah (1/7)
AP - Terrence Ross scored 14 points and hit two free throws with 9 seconds left to help Washington outlastUtah 57-53 on Saturday. Desmond Simmons collected 10 rebounds off the bench to help the Huskies (9-6, 2-1Pac-12) bounce back from a blowout loss to Colorado two nights earlier. Josh Watkins scored 18 and CedricMartin 11 for the Utes (4-11, 1-2), who threatened down to the final seconds. There were plenty of chancesfor the Huskies to close it out in the final minute, but they gave the Utes second life when Simmons and Rosscombined to miss the front end of one-on-one opportunities on three consecutive trips to the line. That al-lowed Utah to claw back once more. The Utes made it 55-53 when Martin buried a 3-pointer with 10 secondsleft. Ross helped Washington escape by finally hitting a pair of free throws with 9 seconds to play.
Wins Vs. Losses, Statistically Speaking

The Huskies are scoring 82.0 ppg in wins and 72.7 in losses (+9.3). The Dawgs are giving up 66.3 points pergame in wins and 82.8 in losses (-16.5).•UW is shooting 48.3% from the field in wins, but 43.6% in losses. Opponents shoot 38.1% in losses but48% in wins.•In wins, UW is +3.7 in the turnover margin and average 14.7 assists per game. In losses, UW is -4.2 in theturnover margin and averages 12.8 assists per game.•UW shoots 43.4% from 3-point range in wins, but just 27.8% in losses. The opponents shoot 32.5% from3-point range in UW wins but kick it up to 43.3% in UW losses.•Surprisingly, UW’s rebounding margin is better in losses at +6.2 and only +2.7 in UW wins.
Did You Know ... ???
The 57 points that Washington scoredagainst Utah are the second fewest in aHusky victory during the Lorenzo Romarera? On Dec. 23, 2005, the Huskies beatLehigh 54-37. In fact, Washington hasonly won five times during the Romarera when they have scored less than 60points. The other wins were a pair of59-52 decisions over WSU and OregonState during the 2010 season and a 59-51 win over AUS in the 2007 Pac-10Tournament..
