LIBRARY GUIDELINES BY

Library Hours
Books can be borrowed against library card issued by Xcellon Institute. Users are not allowed in the library without ID Card. "Reference or Rare" books and unbound issues of journals and periodicals, project reports etc. will be permissible in the library premises only. Use of non-book material is also permissible in the library premises only.
Circulation Guidelines
Students can borrow 2 general books for 14 days. Renewal is not permitted if a demand/reservation is pending for the material or any dues. Reservation facility is available at library circulation desk & user can reserve only 2 books at a time. The library have reserved the right to recall the issued any materials at any time if have any request on particular material. If a book is not returned to the library on due date, the borrower will be fined Re. 5/- per day per book. Overdue fines can be paid in cash at the circulation desk. The library have reserved the right for refuse to issue a book to borrower having his/her any type of over dues. A borrower going on leave with or without any leave will have to return all borrowed materials before leaving Ahmedabad. If a member fails to return an overdue books within 60 days from the due date, three times the cost of the borrowed books and over due fines will be deducted from the security deposit.
General Guidelines
Books or other materials taken from the stacks should not be re-shelved by the readers
but should be left on the tables. Please remember that a book misplaced will be treated as a book lost.

and drinks are not permitted inside the library. Library is not responsible for loss of any belongings from the property counter or inside Library. However, they can carry loose papers and note books inside the library.Library staffs are not responsible for any type of loss of personal items.
General Guidelines
If any visitor is caught carrying any un-issued material out of library, he/she will pay a
fine of Rs.1,000.00 at the circulation or cash counter. A member will be debarred for one month only.
Readers should maintain peace in the library and should not disturb other users in any

Use of cell phone is strictly prohibited in the library premises. User should silent his /
her cellphone when he/she will entered in the library. Use of cellphone is punishable in the library.
Readers should not deface, mark, cut, mutilate or damage any library material in any
way. If anyone is found doing so, he will be charged the full replacement cost of the material.
Students will make their entry with time in when they enter in the library and time out when they leave the library.
This is the reading area where you can read the Newspaper, Magazine, Journals, Books and so on.
This is the Library Reading Room Register. Students will make their entry with reason and time-in before using the reading room.
This is the reading room where students can read the Newspaper, Magazine, Journals, Books and also discuss their project or assignment.
This is the reference section of the library. Students can use this resources in the library premises only.
