Description

This study investigated the psychometric properties and item analysis of a one-unit test in geography for grade three students. The skills and contents of the test were based on the contents covered for the first quarter that is indicated in the syllabus. A table of specifications was constructed to frame the items into three cognitive skills that includes knowledge, comprehension, and application. The test has a total of 40 items on 10 different test types. The items were reviewed by a social studies teacher and academic coordinator. The split-half reliability was used and a correlation of .3 was obtained. Each test type was correlated and resulted from low and high coefficients. The item analysis showed that most of the items turned out to be easy and most are good items.
