QLAW FOUNDATION PROJECT OUTREACH PRESENTS:

GLBT AND GROWING OLDER: LEGAL ISSUES IN THE GOLDEN YEARS


Growing older presents complicated legal issues for almost everyone but lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender elders face even greater challenges.
Please join us on Tuesday, January 24, 2012 from 5:30 to 7:30 pm for a lively discussion of legal issues facing GLBT elders. The event will be held at the Capitol Hill branch of the Seattle Public Library at 425 Harvard Ave. E. The event is free and open to the public.
Lawyers will present important information and will be available to answer questions. Topics will include: The importance of legal documents such as wills, medical directives, and powers of attorney Long-term care financing Domestic partnerships and public benefits Discrimination against GLBT elders Invited speakers include: Judi OKelley, Lambda Legal; Lisa Brodoff, Professor at Seattle University School of Law; Amy Freeman, Columbia Legal Services; Moderated by June Krumpotick of Legal Voice This event is a part of the Project OUTreach program of the QLaw Foundation and is supported by a generous Pride Foundation grant.
