THE ROLE OF SCHOOL IN FASHION DESIGNING
The concept of fashion across the globe is similar in some point of theworld and as well different in some part especially with respect to thecultural believes and perception of he individual involve. Today in our world, the spate at which fashion designing industries are springing upcannot be over-emphasized. The manner of doing something, fashion, according to the Oxford Dictionary, is defined as a popular trend, especiallyin dress, that is, the production and marketing of new styles of clothing andcosmetics. The fashion designers, who are the artists of the industry, the creativeindividual with an eye for colour, texture and line, and an innovative senseof style, need to be able to transform his thought or ideal into a concretemaster piece. In the world of fashion today, the role of school in fashion designingcan not be under estimated because there is so much more that goes creatinga fashion masterpiece than most people realize. Fashion design begins withthe designer’s vision that is brought to paper and worked through multipledrafts. Once a final sketch I made the designer must consider the differentmaterials and textures available and anticipate how the piece will fall on athree-dimensional body. After the materials have been selected the pattern iscut from the cloth and sewn together. Finally, after many incarnations andconsiderations the designer’s vision has been brought to life.It is worth nothing that fashion designer’s (academic and practitioner groups) responses and contributions to fashionable new concept will surelydepend on the way in which such concept can be interpreted, re-conceptualized, used and assimilated within these groups’ way of knowing.
