Description
Dear Dr. Alverdy,
Thank you very much for your time and interest during our meeting today. I’ve attached three of my peer-reviewed articles in the scientific literature. You may find the Diabetes Science & Technology (DST) article of interest. I would be fascinated to learn more about your Pseudomonas (and other) work so when you have a chance please forward to me reprints as appropriate.
I would be very excited to play a role in moving forward the joint UChicago/ANL Bioengineering initiative and feel I could add great value to this project along a number of dimensions. I can tell that this is an enormously important project. The prospect of being able to be involved in clinical work would be especially gratifying and I would welcome the opportunity to approach this element in an open-minded and mutually beneficial fashion.
As you know, I’ve interviewed a wide variety of University of Chicago clinicians (and other leading figures) and you are free to watch any of the videos below and I’m sure these individuals (including Prof. Kaplan for example) would also be happy to comment on their interactions and work with me as well. I also looked up Midway Pharmaceuticals and find that of great interest; congratulations on winning the New Venture Challenge! Having been a judge in that competition, I can tell you that that is not an easy accomplishment.
