Mr. -_ Robbins
Dear Mr. Robbins:
As the Democratic Commissioner of Elections from the Borough of Manhattan, I read
with great concern the media accounts of your voting experience on November 4, 2008. A
multiple of media sources reported that when you appeared to vote at a particular poll site (the
YMCA at 125 West 14" Street), your name was not in the Poll List Book for the election district,
in which you believed yourself to be a registered voter. It was further reported that you
subsequently obtained an Order from the New York State Supreme Court granting your
application to be allowed to vote on a voting machine at the poll site in question. During the last
several days Ihave researched your voter registration history and I have discovered several facts
that I must share with you.
‘My research revealed that on November 25, 1997, you registered to vote from [I
— (that address currently being part of the 5th Election District of the 75th Assembly
District). My research further revealed that the aforementioned registration remained in effect,
until February 19, 2004, at which time you filed a new voter registration form changing your
voting address to NNN (the 14th Election District of the 75th Assembly District).
A copy of each of your two voter registration forms is being forwarded herewith for your
reference.
A review of the relevant Polll Site Books revealed that your name was properly listed in
the Poll Site Book for the 14th Election District of the 75th Assembly District, that Poll Site
being the Andrew Heskell Library, located at 40 West 20" Street. A copy of the relevant page of
said book is being forwarded herewith for your reference.Mr. Timothy F. Robbins

I would appear, based upon a review of your voter registration history, that your voting
experience was less than positive because you simply went to the wrong poll site. ‘The change of
voter address was not noticed earlier because you have not voted in any recent election,
including the Presidential Primary in February 2008 and the Party Primary in September 2008.
Thave taken the liberty of enclosing a blank voter registration form for your use should
you desire to further amend your voter registration.
Should you require any assistance or have any questions, please contact me directly.
Respectiilly, ome
Gregor G/Soumas
