“Come Thou Fount of Every Blessing”
Come, thou fount of ev’ry blessing, tune my heart to sing Thy graceStreams of mercy, never ceasing, call for songs of loudest praiseTeach me some melodious sonnet, sung by flaming tongues abovePraise the mount! I’m fixed upon it, mount of God’s unchanging loveHere I raise my Ebenezer
; hither by Thy help I’m comeAnd I hope, by Thy good pleasure, safely to arrive at homeJesus sought me when a stranger, wand’ring from the fold of GodHe to rescue me from danger, interposed His precious bloodO to grace how great a debtor daily I’m constrained to beLet that grace now, like a fetter, bind my wand’ring heart to TheeProne to wander—Lord I feel it—prone to leave the God I loveHere’s my heart, O take and seal it, seal it for Thy courts above
God Graciously Renews Us in Christ
Have mercy on me, O God, in Your faithful love, in Your great tenderness wipe away my offenses; washme thoroughly from my guilt, purify me from my sin.

The word “Ebenezer” means “stone of help” and comes from a story found in 1 Samuel 7, where the prophet Samuelerected a stone memorial to commemorate the Lord’s protection & blessing in the life of God’s people.
