Event Name: Phronesis - Case Study of Real Business Scenarios How well do you think you know the industry? How good are you at troubleshooting? Do you think you can face the reality check??? Participate in Phronesis and find out! Phronesis, ancient Greek word meaning wisdom, is a case study competition with a difference!!! The cases will encompasses real life business scenarioswhich had oncestumped even the most potent minds in the business! Here, the participants are expected to don their thinking caps and come up with ingenious solutions to expedite the problems currently plaguing the industry. The solutions better be good especially since the industry members themselves will be judging you! Rules: 1. Team Details: a. Team should consist of 2 members. b. Team members can be either from same institute or from different institutes. c. There can be multiple entries from the same B-School. d. One person cannot be the member of more than one team. e. The team has to register through our website - www.drishti2012.siom.in 2. Round I: a. The business case study will be uploaded by Jan 7, 2012. b. Mail the Executive Summary of your case analysis (maximum 1000 words, pdf format) to drishti@siom.in with subject as Drishti2012-Phronesis-Team Name. The executive summary should include a possible solution to the case. c. Please use the following guidelines for preparing your executive summary. i) Font: Times New Roman, Font size: 12, Line spacing: 1.5 ii) Name of the file should be Phronesis_TeamName_InstituteName.pdf iii) There should be a cover page containing the Team Name, Team Members Name, College Name and Contact details (mobile numbers and e-mail addresses). iv) Apart from the cover page, team details should not appear anywhere in the summary. d. Last date for submission of the executive summary is Jan 10, 2012 23:59. 3. Round II: a. Based on the quality and practicality of the solution provided, experts will screen out the best 6 teams. b. Selected teams will be notified by Jan 12, 2012. c. The teams will have to present their solution to an esteemed panel of judges from the industry during Phronesis at Symbiosis Institute of Operations Management, Nashik (Jan 21-22, 2012). d. The presentation should not exceed 15mins which will be followed by a question-answer round of 5mins. e. Parameters that will be gauged in the process will include clarity of thought, practicality, conciseness, creativity, art of presenting, as well as handling questions from the audience within the stipulated time-frame.
