    Waruga Sawangan is an one of world heritage. There are so many ancient graves, more or less 144 waruga.

    Waruga is an tomb of the old time Minahasa people. The form of this tomb same like a traditional house form of Minahasa. This is an one of megalitikum period heritage because the waruga was there about the middle- 19th century. The specific of waruga are coffins made of stone and the peoples called stone cemetery. The ancient Minahasa people who died was inserted into the rectangular shape of waruga with squat position. This is the perspective of the ancient minahasa peoples. The pictures or relief carve on the lid of waruga explain the profession and social status of their family head. As an one of world heritage, Waruga Sawangan saving the ancient cultural of the 1500 years ago life.
