Quoting Scripture Last updated 01/28/2012 I often quote from the Bible on my blog.

Here is a list of Bible Versions and permissions I've compiled. I publish this in the hopes that it may be of use to someone else. I typically include a link to the publisher or to the source of the text I'm quoting, which I think is a good practice, both as a courtesy to them and so others can double-check anything I've written against the original. All copyright information is for the United States only, so if you are anywhere else you should check to see what the rules are. You should also check the permissions for each version. Not only do they vary widely, but only oneThe NET Bible, specifically address use on blogs. I blog at http://stillreforming.blogspot.com. Note: references for the English Standard Version and the New International Version need to be updated, because both have new editions published in 2011 (and the International Bible Society is now known as Biblica).
