Description

The application component of this Knowledge Area Module contains two parts. The first is a paper describing the web page project designed for education departments and for new teachers. The paper discusses the societal issues involved in educational technology resistance and the university barriers to good technology integration. Specifically, the paper compares education departments who have successfully helped their preservice teachers to integrate technology into their teaching. The rest of the paper is dedicated to explaining the web site’s design and purpose.
The second part of this component is the printouts of the html files. The homepage of this web site includes a description of what is on each of the pages within the site. The pages include; Societal Change, Teacher Education, University Barriers, Classroom Integration, New Teachers, The Opposition, Practical Applications, Resource Links, and The Future.
