HP Officejet J4680 All-in-One Printer'Paper Jam' Message Displays on the ComputerContent starts hereIssueWhile printing, the product stops feeding pages and the error message ' Paper Jam' displays on the computer.SolutionFollow these steps to resolve the problem.Step one: Remove any loose paperRemove any loose paper from the main input tray and the automatic document feeder(ADF) to avoid making the jam worse.CAUTION: Do not remove jammed paper at this stage.Step two: Clear the jam from the back of the All-in-One1.Remove all paper from the output tray.2.Turn off the product.3.Disconnect the power cord from the back of the product.4.Remove the rear access door.1.Press in the tab on the left side of the rear door to release thedoor.2.Remove the door by pulling it away from the device.Figure 1: Removing the rear access door5.Gently pull the paper out of the rollers.CAUTION: If the paper tears when removing it from the rollers, then checkthe rollers and wheels for torn pieces of paper that might remain inside thedevice. If any torn pieces of paper remain inside the device, then more paper jamsare likely to occur.Step three: Clean the rollersWhile the rear door is removed from the product, clean the paper rollers.1.Wipe the paper rollers with a lint-free cloth that is lightly moistened withdistilled or bottled water. Rotate the rollers with your fingers to clean all theway around.Figure 2: Cleaning the paper rollers2.Allow the rollers to dry completely.3.Replace the rear door. Gently push the door forward until it snaps intoplace.Step four: Clear the jam from the automatic document feeder (ADF)Use the following instructions to clear the jam from the ADF.1.Lift the ADF cover.2.Gently pull the paper out of the rollers.Figure 3: Lifting the ADF cover to remove paper
