HOW TO SYNC YOUR U-MAILUSING PINE/ALPINE

Visithttp://www.washington.edu/pine/getpine/pcpine.htmlto download the latest version ofPC-Pine and launch the
setup_pine
program to begin installation2.
On the configuration setup, configure the fields with the following information, then click
OK
:
Use configuration file stored on IMAP server
[not checked]
Use local configuration file
[checked]
Configuration file name
[default]

Configure the mail server with the following configurations, then click
OK
to complete theinstallation:
Personal Name:
[your name]
Email Address
UCSBnetID
@umail.ucsb.edu
Mail Server:
incoming.umail.ucsb.edu/ssl
This server is an IMAP server
[checked]
This server is a POP3 server
[not checked]
Login name (optional):

Next, edit the PC-Pine configuration file in a text editor (such as Notepad). The configuration fileis in the location you saved the program in, and it usually located in
C:\Program Files\PC-Pine\pinerc.
