The Conference
The Aberystwyth Conference offers expository preaching, warm fellowship and a prayerfulspirit. The week-long programme (seeinside) means that whilst there is plenty todo, there is also an opportunity to reflect on what has been heard. For those who wish toexplore, Aberystwyth is an ideal base fordiscovering mid-Wales’ beautiful coastlineand rich history.Prices start from just £140 for adults and£70 for children (including self-cateringaccommodation), with bursaries available forthose on a low wage.
Children
Children are well cared for with specialBible-based meetings for 5-11 year olds and11-14 year olds which take place during themorning conference addresses. A crèche isalso provided for children over 1, and under5 years of age.
extratime
There’s also plenty for young people.Extratime is a seven day programme of meetings, seminars, Bible-teaching andactivities for 15-25ish year olds, all carefully arranged to complement the main preachingprogramme. Time Out
 A programme of meetings and activitiesdesigned and specifically aimed at 25-44ish year olds.
Prime Time
 A time of fellowship following the eveningservice, for those aged 45ish and over.
Missions Exhibition
 A Missions Exhibition is open each afternoon(Tuesday – Friday) with around 30 exhibitorstaking part.
Bookshop
The EMW bookshop will continue to be at theconference with a second bookstall at theMissions Exhibition with many excellentbooks at discounted prices.

The Conference
Every August over 1,500 Christians gather in Aberystwyth for a week of Bible teaching in thebeautiful surroundings of Cardigan Bay. Themain focus of the Conference is preachingmeetings held in the Great Hall of the University  Arts Centre. This year we welcome for the firsttime Conrad Mbewe from Zambia as our mainspeaker. Conrad is the pastor of Kabwata BaptistChurch, Lusaka which has overseen the plantingof nearly 20 Reformed churches in Zambia andsurrounding countries. He is an author andinternationally renowned speaker and we are gladhe is able to bring God’s Word to us at themorning Conference Addresses during Aber 2012.The evening preachers include Neville Rees,Brian Edwards and Art Azurdia who have allpreviously been used of God to bless thoseattending the Conference. Lindsay Brown willspeak for the first time at Aberystwyth.The three prayer meetings held each morningare a key part of the Conference and are both well-loved and well-attended. Children are wellcatered for with Bible-based meetings for5-11 year olds and 11-14 year olds which takeplace during the morning sessions. A crèche isprovided for children over 1 and under 5 yearsof age.There’s also plenty for young people witha seven day programme of meetings, seminarsand Bible-teaching for those 15-25, all carefully arranged to complement the main conferenceprogramme. The young people can also enjoy alunch, barbecue and sports tournament.Several informal meetings for those over 25 givefurther opportunity for fellowship and a place todiscuss the blessings of each day.The Conference also gives plenty of time to enjoy the beautiful Welsh scenery and to relax withfriends, both old and new. Conrad Mbewe
Conrad trained and worked as a MiningEngineer in the Zambian copper mines beforeanswering God's call to the pastoral ministry.He has been the pastor of Kabwata BaptistChurch (KBC) in Lusaka, Zambia, Africa,since 1987. Apart from that he also maintainsa full itinerant preaching ministry indifferent countries around the world. Conradloves writing, is editor of Reformation Zambiamagazine and presently contributes a columnin one of the weekly national newspaper. Hismost recent contribution to a book is found inDear Timothy—Letters on Pastoral Ministry,published by Founders Press. Until recently he was the principal of the Reformed BaptistPreachers College in Zambia. He volunteers with the YMCA, providing vocational trainingto the many unemployed youths in hiscommunity. He is married to Felistas, and hasbeen wonderfully blessed with three childrenplus two foster daughters.
 Art Azurdia
 Arturo Azurdia III is AssociateProfessor of Pastoral Theology andDirector of Pastoral Mentoring at Western Seminary in Portland,Oregon. He recently established anew church plant in Portland,Oregon which is called Trinity Church, where he is Senior Minister of Word and Worship. He is a native of the San Francisco Bay Area,having attended California State University at Hayward where he received a B. A. in Music Performance. His M.Div. was earned from The American Baptist Seminary of the West in Berkeley, California, and his D. Min. from Westminster Seminary in Escondido, California . He wasthe founding minister of Christ Community Church inFairfield, California, where he subsequently pastoredfor 19 years. Art is the author of Connected Christianity:Engaging Culture Without Compromise, SpiritEmpowered Preaching (Christian Focus Publications)and a contributing author in additional volumes:Heralds of the King: Christ-Centered Sermons in theTradition of Edmund P. Clowney, The CompromisedChurch (Crossway), Reforming Pastoral Ministry (Crossway). He is a frequent speaker at various nationaland international conferences. His interests includefilm, literature, baseball, and the music of ArturoSandoval. Art and his wife, Lori, have two children,Katherine and Jonathan.
Lindsay Brown
Lindsay Brown was born in MerthyrTydfil and has been involved instudent work for over 30 years, thefirst 4 years as a UCCF staff workerin Wales, from 1981-1985; thenfrom 1991-2007 as internationaldirector of IFES - the InternationalFellowship of Evangelical Students - an umbrellaorganisation which links together at least 500,000students in Christian groups in 152 countries aroundthe world. Since 2007 Lindsay has served asinternational director for the Lausanne Movement for World Evangelization which last year hosted a globalcongress for over 4,000 evangelical leaders across theglobe. He also serves as director of FEUER (Fellowshipof Evangelists in the Universities of Europe), a team of 42 evangelists working under the auspices of IFES andinvolved in speaking at missions and proclaiming thegospel publicly in universities across Europe.He is married to Ann and has a son, Owen, who is thecurrent UCCF staffworker for Wales. Lindsay and Annare members of Highfields Free Evangelical Churchin Cardiff.
Pete Campbell
Pete Campbell is Pastor of CapelFron Evangelical Church,Penrhyndeudraeth in north west Wales. He has been Pastor's Assistant at Tabernacle BaptistChurch, Llandrindod Wells and achurch worker for Townhill BaptistChurch, Swansea. After finishing university in Swanseahe did UCCF's Relay discipleship programme. He ismarried to Rachel and they have two young children,Seth and Abigail.
Brian Edwards
Brian Edwards was pastor of HookEvangelical Church, Surbiton, asouth west London suburb, for 29 years, and then President of theFellowship of IndependentEvangelical Churches from1995–1998. He is the author of 20books including two historical biographies on WilliamTyndale and John Newton and two on Revival. Brianalso edits the popular Day One Travel Guide series andcontinues a ministry of writing and itinerant preachingand lecturing. His wife, Barbara, died in 1998 and hemarried Rosie, the widow of Phil Crowter, in December2011. He has two sons and three granddaughters.
Tim Gill
Tim had the privilege of beingbrought up in a Christian homeand was converted when11 through the work of Crusaders.He originally comes from the WestMidlands, did a degree in mathsand worked as a maths teacher forthree years before going to Bible College. He was Assistant Pastor to Ken Brownell at East LondonTabernacle from 1991-1994, was Pastor of MillbridgeEvangelical Church, Minehead from 1994 - 2003 and hasbeen pastor at Newtown Evangelical Church since 2004.He is married to Wendy (they celebrated their silver wedding in August 2011) and has three sons.Tim enjoys hill-walking and following sport.
Neville Rees
Neville Rees was Pastor of LibanusEvangelical Congregational Church,Morriston, near Swansea for over40 years. He has had a longinvolvement with the EvangelicalMovement of Wales having servedon many of its committees down the years. He is amongst the few who have attended every  Aberystwyth Conference. He is married to Beryl andthey have two sons and a daughter. There are now eightgrandchildren. His interests are walking, photography and reading.
