Consultant, Government of Alberta (GOA): (2007-08) Led the development and implementation of Albertas first Cultural Policy resulting in the creation of a Ministry of Culture and Community Spirit General Director, Alberta Ballet (AB): (2005-07) In 2005, Alberta Ballet, an arts organization with offices in Calgary and Edmonton, 65 staff and a school with 500 students faced serious budget, internal and image challenges. Stanners orchestrated a company-wide restructure, used the th companys 40 anniversary to rebrand and redefine its value proposition increasing the budget from $5.2 to $8 million, public funding by 25% and subscriptions by 40%. National Director, Operations; Regional Director (West), Canadian Unity Council (CUC) : (1997-2005) The CUC was formed in 1964 in response to the Quebec separatist movement with a mission of promoting citizen understanding and involvement in the economic, political, social and cultural institutions and values unique to Canada. Stanners established and led its operations in the West and North and guided its ground-breaking work in consensus building.
