As the Bible mentions that those who belive in Christ will be resurected on the day of his coming. It also says that "absent from the body is to be present with the Lord". Our bodies may lay in the grave but our spiritual man is with Christ in heaven. Death was the last thing satan had control over after mans orginal sin. But when Jesus Christ was crucifed dead and buried, he conquored death and it's sting. So satan has no power what so ever over those of us who belive in Christ and who will die one day. I'm at peace with myself knowing that when I die, I know where I will be at the bossom of my Lord and Savior.

Amen, mike mosher! There seem to be so few people who believe the truth of God's Word over the error of human teaching. I am overjoyed every time I meet someone who knows and believes what the Bible truly teaches about death and resurrection!

Messenger, the righteous will enter the Kingdom of God on a new and perfect earth with new, perfect bodies. Their bodies will be supernatural, like the new, supernatural body Jesus received after ascending to the right hand of the Father (see the description of the ascended Jesus in Revelation chapter one.) Revelation 21 gives a description of this new and perfect earth: Then I saw a new heaven and a new earth, for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away, and there was no longer any sea. I saw the Holy City, the new Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, prepared as a bride beautifully dressed for her husband. And I heard a loud voice from the throne saying, "Now the dwelling of God is with men, and he will live with them. They will be his people, and God himself will be with them and be their God. He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away." He who was seated on the throne said, "I am making everything new!" Then he said, "Write this down, for these words are trustworthy and true."

Messenger, the body is mortal, but the body of a righteous man has eternal life in the sense that it will be resurrected unto eternal life at the coming resurrection, which will occur when Jesus returns. In the mean time, his soul will enter heaven, but he will not be conscious until it returns to his body and his body is resurrected. In John 6:54, "the last day" refers to the last day of the Age. We live in the final Age before Jesus returns to judge the living and the dead, at which time the righteous will be resurrected unto eternal life in the Kingdom of God on a new and perfect earth. Thus, the righteous who "eat" Christ's "flesh" and "drink" his "blood" have eternal life in the Kingdom of God in the Age to come, and they will be resurrected at the last day, when the Kingdom of God is established. After being dead for three years, a person will look like a skeleton covered in a pile of dirt.

chocoguy, I changed it fro mflashpaper to HTML format. The formatting of the documnet is messed up now, but at least it should be readible. Please see my scribd document "You Are Not Going To Heaven" for a shorter, more to-the-point version of this document. anonymous, most Jews do not believe that the dead are literally dead, but will be resurrected at the coming of the messiah. At this resurrection, the righteous will be rewarded with eternal life on a new and perfect earth, but the unrighteous will perish in a lake of fire. Christians hold a similar belief. Christians believe that Jesus is the messiah, and in order to fulfill all the messianic prophecies of the Jewish scriptures, he came first a priest to make atonement for our sins, and will come again in the future to resurrect the dead and judge everyone who has ever lived. The righteous will be rewarded with eternal life on a new and perfect earth, but the unrighteous will perish in a lake of fire. The majority of Christians also believe that people are judged immediately after death, and sent either to heaven or hell, and then re-rewarded or re-condemned at the future resurrection. Not only is this faulty logic, but the doctrine of an immediate afterlife in heaven or hell is completely biblically. It is not in the Torah and was not taught by Jesus. In fact, it's not in the Bible at all. The doctrine of an immediate afterlife in heaven and hell (Hades) originated with Greek mythology, and was continued in Roman mythology. It eventually merged with Christianity when Constantine made Christianity the official religion of Rome. It was never taught by Jesus and is just one doctrine in a list of Greco-Roman doctrines that have infiltrated mainstream Christian theology over long periods of time. DEATH Death comes to you in the middle of the night, Or sweeps you away in broad daylight. This being mans biggest doubt, Death is not to be talked about. Where he comes from where he goes? We have no tangible proof that shows. The masters say there is a holy light, In the beginning and during our last flight. How do I overcome my fear of death? By leading a good life and having no regret. The moment I die I must do my best, To become one with the light, eternal rest. The soul must merge with the super soul, Forever to become part of the whole. As long as I have much to give, That is how long I will live. At the end to death I must go, Finishing a real tragic and funny show. "Ponder Awhile" by Mohit.K.Misra A collection of fifty one poems on various aspects of life, death and god. Ponder Awhile has been rated in th TOP 20 books by www.e-library.net and given the highest votes in poetry, spirituality and philosophy. http://e-library.net/top_rated.html www.mohitmisra.net Available on amazon http://www.amazon.com/Ponder-Awhile-M...

This makes it clear that humans are different from all other animals. I'm not sure I buy that. Isn't human DNA 98% the same as that of a chimpanzee?

Hmm... for some reason this came out sideways. I recommend you print it out and then read it, or better yet, download a Microsoft Word copy and then set the Page Layout from Landscape to Portrait.
