Assessment of MPM Participants


o The A-Student demonstrates a very high level of motivation to learn project management.

o The averagestudent is generally a good student whose work , though, does exhibit some noticeable qualitative deficiencies.

o Typical qualities of a horror student are, among other irritants, disinterest in attending class and listening to the lectures, chatting and horry to run outside the lecture hall, poor command over the English language, unwillingness to read the recommended project management course literature and do his or her assignments, and a tendency to rote learn.

The Project Report


o A Project report of 20- 25 Pages would be submitted by groups (03 students each) two weeks before the final examination.
o Title Page o Table of Contents o List of Tables, Graphs, Charts and Abbreviations o Introduction o Research Objectives, Hypotheses and Methodology o Analysis o Conclusion and Recommendations o Appendix o Bibliography

o A good project report must be based on a sound concept and well researched information. o o The introduction should be brief (max. 3 pages). The research objective(s), hypotheses and methodology must be clear, concise, relevant and logical (max. 4 pages) The conclusions and recommendations (max. 2 pages) should sum up the reports essential findings and give recommendations. The appendix will contain any important support documents not included in the main text body; the bibliography section must include all documented reference.

What is Cost and Project Cost Management?


o Cost is a resource sacrificed or foregone to achieve a specific objective, or something given up in exchange. o Costs are usually measured in monetary units, such as dollars. o Project cost management includes the processes required to ensure that the project is completed within an approved budget.

Project Cost Management Processes


Cost estimating: Developing an approximation or estimate of the costs of the resources needed to complete a project.

Cost budgeting: Allocating the overall cost estimate to individual work items to establish a baseline for measuring performance.

Cost control: Controlling changes to the project budget.
