This survey was written and compiled by:Established in 1998 with a Turner Foundation grant, the Turner Environmental Law Clinic at Emory LawSchool provides pro bono representation to public interest organizations and citizens seeking to protectand restore the natural environment. The Clinic’s unique mission combines these environmentalprotection efforts with legal education. With supervision from clinical professors, students enrolled inthe Turner Environmental Law Clinic receive an intense, hands-on introduction to sophisticatedenvironmental law and regulatory practice, while gaining exposure to various environmentalorganizations. The students give a legal voice to citizens and groups with environmental concerns thatwould otherwise go unheard.For use and distribution by:Georgia Organics is a member supported, non-profit organization integratinghealthy, sustainable and locally grown food into the lives of all Georgians. Webelieve food should be community-based, not commodity-based.
