Based in Melbourne, Australia Nicole Tattersall has been creating works since 2006 and is most wellknown for her stencil art, illustration and installation works. Which lend themselves to convey thecontext of the piece and the overall feel of the work through a selection of mixed mediums, fromthe innocence and creative minds of two children to the dirty look created to interpret the streetsof a busy city. Nicole’s style has changed several times throughout the years from simple outlines toher now exhibited urban inspired stencil and illustrative works. The use of stenciling as a techniquecame about when she wanted to start to customise her own surfboards.Animal rights, the protection of the environment and the thought of using ones imagination are
reoccurring themes in her works and are heavily inuenced by her time spent at various beaches,surng, her family, trips away, Melbourne’s urban jungle and world news. Being passionate about
animal rights has lead Nicole to create works for WSPA Australia and to aid in their campaigns, withher illustrations and through being an advocate by talking about the issues.Works by Nicole currently reside in private collections throughout Australia as well asInternationally.Using her Events Management skills Nicole has curated and organised a selection of groupexhibitions and art events; Random Collective, Art On Your Sleeve, Street Art For Ashes, theMelbourne Curvy 6 and 7 book launches at Magnation, and Split Personalities, a duo show she didwith fellow artist Megan Dell.
