Cut two of the blouse back pattern pieces. Youwill not need the front piece or flaps!
You will need:1.The Slouchy Blouse Pattern from Burda Style or grab apre made top in a similar shape (I used a T-shirt!)2.Fabric as detailed in the pattern + an extra half yardfor your center pleat.3.1 - 1..5 yards of lace (depending on the type chosen -double edged or single; wide or narrow - and desiredlace-ness of top!)4.A sewing machine
Cut Center pleat 3 inches wide X length of top.Cut your lace in half (if needed) - here I cut my lace inhalf because it has two different edges.. If you havelace that’s narrow - you may need to cut it in half tospread it out later.Press your pleats:Press center pleat in 1/2” on edges
More on thenext page!
My favorite part of this blouse is thelace and center pleat detailplus thecool, slouchy shape. So that’s going to be the focus of thisbeginner tutorial- how to make a center faux-pleat and stick some lace underneath to make it fancy!
