Evolution IS a fact. Religion IS a fallacy. Evolution proves religious accounts of our earthly beginnings and continued existence biologically, geologically and even astronomically to be false. Because of the evidence substantiating evolution, creationist stories are nothing but fiction- specifically that found in the Judeo-Christian dogma. What makes these superstition believers so afraid to accept the truth is that: since there was no Garden of Eden, there was no original sin, there is no need for a redeemer and hence no need for the Christian perspective of salvation through the Christ persona. This results in demonstrating that their religion is obsolete and based in fearful control of what is impending doom...should they choose reality over false belief. The same moral of the story can be said for the myriad of world religions in that any questioning of the dogma will end in some supernatural admonition. Which is why many fear even investigating the facts that are the very foundation of our scientific knowledge today, so they blindly refuse to leave the religious muck they armor themselves in. The religious institutional defiance to admit to clear, concise genealogical facts and correlating empirical data is the real symptom exposing their confirmation bias. So they fight tooth and nail politically and socially for the dogma to be accepted in science...now known as Intelligent Design. Old song, new package- that is all this is. I suggest for anyone who thinks that this subject is not a political fight should look up the Wedge Strategy. It most certainly is outlined- starting with the redefining of scientific terms such as the word "THEORY"...which is tantamount to DISINFORMATION. Dawkins has done a brilliant job in vivisecting the crux of the mentality which breeds this deception of the masses known as religion. The natural world proves itself to be just that time and again. The real biological data that extends the already evident truth is DNA. What is amusing is that the Creationists/IDers relish using evolutionary science and medicine when it suits them, yet turn their collective noses up at it when it slams their supernatural "explanations" to the wall. This is no better illustrated than what happened in the Dover, Kansas court case...Intelligent Design went on trial..and lost. Thanks to great rational minds like that of Richard Dawkins and his having the stamina to routinely deal with these fundamentally religious pundits, we have a real arsenal for us to expose the lie known as religion...and let reality reign.
