‘» Note: Before attempting to set-up and grind a tool using these instructions,
read the accompanying material concerning the programming of straight
steps and contours.
1, Position the grinding head 10-15!degrees to the right of center.
2, Mount @ sharp 11V9 cup wheel (facing front) on a short wheel adaptor as
shown in Figure 3564-1, and attach this assembly to the grinding spindie.

first step as shown below in Figure 3564-2.

B. Set absolute zero for all axes.
9, Select PARIN, and enter a name/number for the ident. file. This is the name
under which the tool information will be stored, Select menu 2564-00U.
10. The first page of menu 3584-00U will appear. Before any information is
entered, the whole menu should be zeroed-out. This involves pressing the
ENTER button until an entire page is filed with zeros, and then moving on to
the next page by pressing the biue FORWA button.
71. When the menu has been completely zerosd-out, go to page 1 and begin
entering information. Select the straight step grinding operation by entering a
"1" beside "Steps."
12. Enter a ‘1" also for the "Set-up for Step Tool. Enter *0.200" for the Amount
of Step Approach.
13. Enter the diameter of the wheel and 10-15\Dg for the Angle of Head,
depending on where B-axis is positioned.
