A three year journey from restructuring with the State of North Carolina to a 90-90-90 school out of State of North Carolina Sanctions.

- Collaborative team planning every day, led by either the literacy or math facilitator - Two facilitators who work intensively with teachers to raise the quality of instruction - Using data to re-group students and plan instruction - Push-in model, allowing flexible grouping of students across classes - Instructional Rounds Model - Cutting-edge instruction for students in poverty - Summer PD for teachers

Our people make the school what it is


The Core Team:
- Two facilitators (one literacy, one math) - Five SSI teachers (two in 3rd grade, two in 4th grade, one in 5th grade) - Admin team: assistant principal, - Social & emotional support staff: social worker, counselor

Displacements: None. We worked with the staff we had.

We have shifted the school culture and created high expectations for staff and students

Single-gender classrooms in grades 1-5 Miracle School after-school program Class sizes reduced from 26 to 18, accompanied by a flexible grouping strategy across classrooms that allows for learning groups of various sizes depending on need
