Abstract
The movement of glaciers, caused by gravity, could be considered a fundamental partof the water cycle. This is because the mechanisms that accompany it and the fussion-solidification of ice. The displacement depends on the physical properties of ice, climate environment and the characteristics of the emplacement. The kind of glacier. The study of the movement of glaciers, from the accumulation zone to the ablation, iscomplex. We can distinguish two simultaneous processes: basal sliding and internaldeformation. One of the measurable characteristics is speed, which varies depending on the areaof the glacier where it is measured. It generally takes smaller values near the walls andfloor of the emplacement.Geomorphologically, glacier movement will become a powerful agent of erosion andwill result in a characteristic modelation of the site.
