By allowing partisan goals to influence their decisionsthey have hurt the people of Westchester County.It is clear that the state legislature cannot be trusted to protect the rights of the people of Westchester County.This process is broken and any product out of this process cannot be acceptednor believed it will work for the goods and services of the people. will bebroken.Governor, we implore you to
veto
any maps that are a result of the LegislativeRedistricting Task Force.The people of Westchester are asking that you make sure we do not have towait until the 2022 elections to have fair redistricting. If we wait, we will bedisenfranchising voters across Westchester for 10 years.Throughout the County, voters have been disenfranchised for purely politicalgoals.These examples include:

The cities of Yonkers, New Rochelle and White Plains have all been split ‐ diluting the power of voters in these cities.
 
Ossining has been now removed from a Westchester Senate Seat linkingit with Rockland County.
 
Scarsdale shares common interests with the Sound Shore towns of Westchester County, yet it has been moved into a Hudson River district We urge you, Governor Cuomo, to stand up for the rights of every voter inWestchester and
