This reminds me of the time when I wasdoing my internship at Bank of Baroda. My topic wasPerformance Management System and at end of my term Iwas actually working with other HR officers. There werealmost 1000 clerks and 300 officers in the Ahmedabad CityRegion whose performance appraisal was due for thepresent assessment year. Normally to complete this task,the HR people have 2 months on hand. But when I startedworking on this I completed the whole process in just 10days which was a big achievement in the whole of Bank of Baroda. The process included analyzing, calculating and thenfeeding in the information in the bank’s MIS system. At theend of every financial year, a meeting is conducted wherethe GM of the Regional Office sits down to discuss with allthe employees the achievements and the improvements tobe done. And the top performers were awarded. I wasrewarded by GM in front of all the officers of the regionaloffice which was a great boost for my confidence.
