The Michigan Ride Calendar continues to be LMB’s signature publication and anessential resource for bicycle enthusiasts in Michigan and beyond. With supportfrom the Michigan Department of Transportation and our advertisers, LMB annuallypublishes and distributes 45,000 Ride Calendars. The 2012 Ride Calendar lists 307Michigan bicycling events.Ride Calendars are mailed to all LMB members. This publication is also available viaMDOT Welcome Centers, Convention & Visitors Bureaus, bicycle clubs and shops,and at numerous bicycle-related events throughout the year.

Event Submissions:

Join us in 2012 as we bicycle down Michigan’s canopied forest roads,past beautiful inland lakes and along picturesque Great Lakes’ shore-lines. We’ll show you breathtaking scenery, magnicent beaches,unique shoreline communities and picturesque lighthouses.LMB’s Bicycle Tours are a major source of funding for the League’seorts to promote bicycling and the safety of bicyclists on theroadways in Michigan. In addition to our Tours, LMB also hostsMichigan Bicycle Summits and an annual Advocacy Day held at theState Capitol. You can support LMB’s bicycle education, advocacy andpromotion eorts by attending events highlighted throughout thispublication with a blue “LMB Event” box.
$1-PER-RIDER EVENTS
In 2012, 47 events have pledged to donate $1 to the LMB for everyevent participant. We are extremely grateful to the participating ridesfor their generous contributions to our eorts to promote bicyclingand increase the safety of bicyclists on the roadways in Michigan.These dollars add up quickly, providing LMB with much needed fundsthat help with our education, advocacy and promotion eorts. Bychoosing $1-Per-Rider Events this season, you will be supporting LMB’seorts to make Michigan a safer state for bicyclists. The complete listof participating $1-Per-Rider Events is listed on the next page and arehighlighted throughout this publication in bold red type.
