The Oklahoma Joint Legislative Committee on Federal Health Care Reform has issued their final report, almost two months later than it was originally due for release. The Joint committee met five time over the interim and heard from many presenters - mostly pro-state-based exchange. OK-SAFE gave it's presentation was on 11/33/11, opposing the establishment of a state-based exchange, advocating instead to do nothing - the same position as Michael Cannon of the Cato Institute, and Benjamin Domenech of The Heartland Institute. Despite hearing the facts from these organizations and the people of this state, the OK legislature is moving ahead with the insurance exchange in OK, wanting to create yet another trust to govern it. The creation of a trust was how we got the first phase of "Obama Care" in this state - do we see a pattern? Yes.
